This is a huge, well-equipped, smart and quiet apartment right in the heart of the old town facing the riverfront, and a short walk from many interesting and fun places in beautiful Lisboa, as well as from the metro and train stations. There are many Fado restaurants less than 15m away (special recommendation for Coimbra Taberna, a more distinctive and musical approach), and the Time Out Mercado da Ribeiro with its scores of affordable gourmet eating experiences is a 20m riverside walk – taking in the impressive Praca do Comercio with its chilled-out bars. Ana is extremely responsive and dealt with all enquiries quickly and efficiently, and the Ohmm’… approach is very warm and welcoming, with Ana providing lots of good tips and advice on things to do including some local secrets! This was a really positive experience all round, the apartment has all necessary “mod cons” and the location is perfect. The highly rated Banca de Pau deli/tapas is virtually next door, with brunch options, great rooftop cafes and other treasures all within reach. The 25m walk to the Castelo de Sao Jorge with it’s impossibly spectacular views or a practical 15m trip to Pingo Doce supermarket do involve a bit of uphill walking, but if winding hill streets are not your bag then neither Lisboa and Porto will be the right place for you! We can simply recommend the apartment highly, including being quiet at night and with blinds offering 100% protection from the amazing morning sun. Thanks to Ana and Ohmm for a great city break!!
