Campo de Ourique is a wonderful neighbourhood, with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of places to eat and explore. Raquel E Luis’s apartment makes a great base to do so. It’s spacious, well appointed, and, best of all, has a small courtyard garden to enjoy lazy late afternoons and breakfasts. There’s a lemon tree, from which you can pluck the makings of a nice jug of lemonade and friendly cats that come visiting. It’s both easy to get into central Lisbon – about 10 mins on the bus, or 40 by foot – and the beach at Costa da Caparica is easy enough to get to – a 15 minute walk to Alcantara followed by a 20 minute bus ride. I couldn’t recommend Campo de Ourique or this apartment more.
